“The Palestinian Coast, Heart of the Mediterranean” is a seminar presented by Ahmad Alaqra, Ali Habibullah, and Roger Heacock to shed light on the economic and social relationships between Palestinian coastal cities and various Mediterranean cities and countries. Between the mid-nineteenth century and its fall in the Nakba, the Ottoman Tanzimat (reforms) made the city of Yaffa a thriving economic and social center.
