The film shows the resilient villagers of Imider in southeastern Morocco, who resist with the little means they have – songs, dry bread, weekly protests, a flimsy camera, a film festival, and endless ingenuity, fearing that their fragile oasis might disappear and their livelihoods be destroyed as a result of the rapacious silver mine that has siphoned aquifer water for decades, drying out the almond groves that belong to a small Amazigh community.
